the show last night was pretty good...our set went like:
Taken
Moment of Panic
Phantom Limb
Like Clockwork
The Longest Day of the Year
i was going to tape the show but apparently i gave the tape recorder to the only person alive that does not know how to operate a handheld cassette recorder...but whatever...Social Junk was really good...super-abrasive and noisy...i'm sure everyone except for us and a few of our friends absolutely hated them...i'm in love with the girl in the band, but oh well...The Zydepunks weren't as horrible as i was expecting (though far from good...) they were nice though...the singer was wearing a Bauhaus shirt which was kind of odd...after our set he said "i really like the way your set built up...after the first two songs i wasn't sure what to expect but then it really went somewhere"...i guess a polite way of saying "i didn't like the first two songs, but after that it was okay..." but more than i expected from them anyway...i got a few of Social Junk's cds: Domestics, My House (oops) My Horse, and Summer Split 2005 with 2 Ugly People Kissing...Social Junk stayed over at my place last night...i guess i sat around bothering them for a little while...it's weird that there's a good band in West Virginia...(speaking of west virginias, did i mention i'm in love with the girl in that band? oh, well...boo hoo or something...) today i hung out with Justin some...we braved a flood and went to target and i got a ratchet set that fits tuning pegs for the sympathetic strings on my faux sitar...so now i have 'em tuned properly and stuff...not much else going on...

I think you're out of line. David said he's had problems with that tape recorder as well.

let's see...i seem to recall giving David the tape recorder on a previous occasion and at the end of the night sound had been recorded onto the tape...so apparently he didn't have THAT much of a problem...

Well, David had to use a lighter to see what was going on to get the recording started last week. It sucks that this show didn't get recorded, but people record us as a favor, you know. It's a dark bar, someone gets a tape recorder handed to them. They're not obligated to do it just because they're asked, and I think you're being unnecessarily harsh. Perhaps one of us could just start the recording in the future.
