i went over to The Apartment last night...after a while of sitting around Brad showed up and a little after that David came home...we decided to go out, except Paul and Jacques who decided to stay in...we went to the Young Avenue Deli...we stopped at a Circle K so Brad could get some ciggies...there we ran into Kathryn (sic?) and her friend Jennifer...some ppl we know more or less from a while back or something...they went to RP Tracks and we continued to the Deli...we attacked the jukebox as per usual...through the course of the night we played 5 Velvet Underground songs...and 4 John Zorn songs...we even played 3 of the 10 second uber-noisy ones w/ Yamatsuka Eye...the first time i played one ("Fuck the Facts") all these ppl turned around...it was great...then Kathryn and Jennifer showed up w/ a friend of theirs Leslie...more sitting around...Brad kept hitting on Kathryn, it was funny...then when they started closing and stuff we went back to The Apartment...more sitting around ensued...at one point Paul got seriously pissed off for no reason 'cuz i -got near him- and mule kicked me...okay, Paul...wacky dude he is...more sitting around...at about 4:30 or so i left to go home...now here i am the next day...fun stuff...i'll hopefully write something for the group this evening...hopefully...[yawn]

I'm jealous that you actually have a place in town that has Zorn on the jukebox. For a long time I've tossed around the idea of opening a restaraunt just so I could put some fucked up out-noise on it.

yea...it's pretty fucked up...it also has the VU, Elvis Costello, U2, and Pixies comps...and then some other typical less good jukebox stuff i guess...i love playing Velvet Underground on it...i always play Heroin...there's also the Memphis Pizza Cafe which has a reasonably good jukebox too...it also has the Elvis Costello comp and some Velvets (although it just has VU...) plus some Cure (both Staring at the Sea AND Disintegration...) it also has OK Computer...which prob'ly isn't too out of the ordinary but still cool...it has a Pixies comp too...and the only jukebox i've seen w/ a Sonic Youth song! (the live version of JC on the Alternative NRG comp...bad comp save that song...) but the Naked City cd's the most fucked up thing i've seen on a jukebox...especially having all those 10 sec or so tracks...well i think i've blathered on about the local jukebox scene long enough...

but if i had a restaraunt or anything i'd put like White Light/White Heat and Washing Machine, and other albums w/ super-long songs...'cuz ummm...that'd be cool or something...well i'll not go on too long about my dream jukebox...so...
