ateolf | the trouble with tape...

got some mail yesterday: Um Jammer Lammy for the PS1 (i had forgotten how goddamned hard it is...great great game though...), Zuckerman Unbound and The Anatomy Lesson by Philip Roth, and Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler...then that evening i went over to Jacques/Amber's...Amanda and Jason came over too after a little while...we went and ate something...then got some ice cream and stuff for a fun-filled ice cream party...uh...we watched Stacy, over which my opinion was somewhat torn...then today The Family Ghost practiced...at first there was trouble with the recorder...after a bunch of dicking around i figured out how to fix it...we went to work on recording "Like Clockwork"...we finally almost had it (even though i broke a string in the middle of the song...but i could have just overdubbed the rest...) unfortunately, whilest trying to figure out what was wrong with the tape machine earlier, i made a booboo and creased the tape in one section...didn't think it'd affect anything, but in the middle of the song there's a split second where everything cuts out...so we have to redo it after the tape-crease anyway...oh well...we were almost there...also, this guy Josh knows who is a maybe as potential roommate came over...he seems pretty alright...he's a synthesier nut and probably knows more about synths than i do...he was excited looking at my stuff...but he has some uncertainty over employment...he just moved back here from some other state a few weeks ago...we'll see if it works out...i need it to, goddamnit, and i have very very little time left...
