back in black
Aug. 15th, 2002 03:09 ammore work...once again i was set out on my own even though i'm still scheduled for training...but that's okay, they really gave me more days than i really need for that...and after being on my own as the closing driver last night, i'm a lot more comfortable w/ it...there's still a helluva lot of rough (ruff) edges but i'm getting the hang of it more...this time it was Keith who ditched out on me...heh, but at least i didn't have to close...and i remembered the other thing i forgot to mention in my last post...yesterday, while making a delivery to the Mariott, the wind was fucking insane...like a hurricane or some shit...anyway the wind broke my car door just a little bit...it blew out of my hands all the way back and now it's a little harder to shut and i don't think it's quite lined up right...it's not too bad but it's still pretty fucked up to have happened...
after work i went straight to Neil's...first i did Deadeye Dick's "New Age Girl"...this was Keith's suggestion...i almost didn't do it at all saying "that's not even funny, that's just stupid" but i couldn't think of anything else to do and hardly anyone was there yet anyway...next Adam and i did "Up Where We Belong" together...then i did "When a Man Loves a Woman," Chris said that when he walked in (durring that song) some guy was saying "that guy is horrible!" or something...sweet! Adam and i struck up some more duet action w/ "Tonight I Celebrate My Love"...at one point durring, while some frat guys were singing "Fat Bottom Girls" Donna wiped herself on me...she did it to Adam too but i didn't see that...i'm simultaneously repulsed and aroused...one thing's for sure, i'm never bathing again...and our night was closed w/ me singing "It's Raining Men"...though Kerry and Adam were the only ones left sticking around for that (of "the peer group", i mean...) it was pretty awesome, i think i may say...i even took my tie off towards the end and put it around my forehead...and before i sang i announced "this one's for all the dudes in the house" or something...and i changed one "girls" to "boys" and at one point another plural word for females of which i forget to "dudes"...truly a manumental event...and now it's over and i'm home...
