today was surprisingly eventful...i went to work...wasn't there too long then i went over to The North End and filled out an application/talked to the hiring manager...and so yea, i'm starting a week from monday...then i went over to Jacques' and he, Amber, Kerry, and i met Justin at that chinese place on park...it was damn good...they have a sushi bar along w/ their buffet...and it's actually really quite quite good...then we went to Black Lodge and rented some movies...Wild Zero and The Decline of Western Civilization II: The Metal Years...Wild Zero was fucking great...one of the best movies ever...it's japanese and Guitar Wolf is in it...ummm...there aren't words to describe how cool it is...well, actually all that takes is: "ROCK AND ROLL!!!" about 11:15 i got a call from Camy's, they had gotten busy and wanted me to come back in early...i ignored it...then about 11:45 i called them and told them i was quitting...i had intended on working the rest of my scheduled days, but there're only two at the end of next week and i thought it'd be more productive to utilize my last night to hang out w/ my friends for a week...so yea...no more Camy's...it feels weird, but i feel weird about any change...the only real down about it is that i live like 45 min away from The North End...but i guess it's not a whole lot more than where i was previously working...but i mean, my job consists of driving anyway...but yea...towards the end of Wild Zero, Adam showed up and the Keith and Brad...afterwards we watched Decline...of course, one of the best movies ever...and now i'm back home...as you may be aware, i'm about to leave for a fucking week following Sonic Youth around...i feel kind've weird about it...i guess it hasn't all settled in yet...i'll miss my friends though...i'd better get to packing and getting directions and crap right after this...(i'm the fucking worst procrastinator...or wait...or am i the best procrastinator?) what really really fucking sucks is that i have to fucking mow the grass in the morning...which means i'm gonna get no fucking sleep and be tired (from lack of sleep and the fucking physical activity...) this is 'cuz i didn't get it done last week...but it rained on all my damned days off...arrr...oh well...this trip should be enjoyable though...it's something i've wanted to do since last tour two years ago and i'd better while i still can...for the record, here's the enormous list of my cds that Kerry so graciously burned for me...

on the bone again
Great collection for the road, BTW. Let me know if you happen to not need them when you get back...
And be careful out on those mean streets you'll be drivin' on a prayer on. We will miss you greatly. Suck Thurston off for us while you're there.
sincerely from your CD-collecttionally-challenged friend,
-paul
p.s. - I think I miss you already. ;(
