went over to Justin's and we went to Consignment, they didn't have anything...watched The Simpsons and then we went and ate at the Sub Shop...hadn't eaten there in forever...then practice happened...we worked on one of those new songs, the one i drum on, we added a new part to it and did a little arranging work...it's coming along damned nicely...after that Jacques, Brad, and i went straight to the show...the opening act was some solo guitarist...it sucked sooo fucking badly...(also, he had mentioned drumming in some band, and on the way home from the show it struck me who: The Bloodthirsty Lovers...i knew i recognized him...it helps all the pieces fit: they suck ass too...) but then Cul de Sac happened...they played a while then Damo Suzuki came up and sang w/ them...it was fucking AMAZING...i was beyond impressed...they took a little break and then came back...but that didn't last long...after a little bit Damo threw the mic down on the stage...then he went to another one and apologized saying that the mic was messing up (it had been the whole night...even w/ the sucky solo guy...) then he went out into the audience apologizing and thanking ppl...i was right up front so i was the first person he touched and was all too surprised to say anything back, like "great show"...oh well...i hit the merch table:

and i got this poster thing autographed by them all...another cool thing: they played "Mother Sky" which was especially rad as i had Soundtracks in my car cd player and had JUST listened to that very song on the way there...but yea, it all ruled...there was also this über-cute girl standing up alone...Brad and i kept staring at her but were too scared to actually say anything...we're pathetic...yea...
