ateolf: (Mission of Blurma)
I finished reading Selected Letters 1880-1903 by Marcel Proust during my lunch break. It was a pretty enjoyable read. The lineup for the Nonconnah release show (picnic) that will be at T.O. Fuller State Park in just over a month was finalized and the event is out there. We'll see how it goes. I did finish that python script to apply my weighted randomization (for a playlist) logic to copy files into a local folder for remote listening. It worked. I had tried to make it modular by reusing functionality from the other script (actually, it's mostly a combination of two other scripts I'd done before), but for some reason it wasn't working when I tried to break the logic out into a separate function. Really not sure why. Maybe it has something to do with some universal variables being used? But I think I eliminated those. I dunno, but maybe there's some spaghetti code in there that isn't translating. It wasn't really worth agonizing too much time over as they're pretty simple scripts. I just ended up being bad and having a whole lot of copy/pasta. But it works. Still, the app on my phone doesn't have the same functionality as the browser page (for some reason!) and I still can't just load all the songs to play from the app...really don't understand why there's such a gap there. But it works perfectly on the browser (aside from a very wonky layout on my phone). At least it doesn't do the buffering thing where it always stops for a second right when the next song starts.
