Brisket and Goodbye
Aug. 9th, 2021 07:56 amYesterday morning I went and got some brisket from Bain (newerish Texas-style barbecue food truck). Definitely had some memories of Austin, getting there when it opened and waiting in line (though not too bad a line). It was good. Funny, the best part was the pinto beans (they have bits of brisket in them). Later in the day we watched the collection of Peter Greenaway shorts and played some more Lost Cities. In the evening, we said our goodbye to our neighbors (Jessie and Joe), I think they're heading out to West Virginia (as in the final move) today. Late at night, right before bed, Mary Beth and I went out to the front to try to see the meteor shower but didn't really see anything.
