Birthday 1

I finished reading Faust Part Two by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe yesterday. I had read part one (or just Faust as it was called) many years ago, though the edition I had was a little weird where it kind of tried to seem like the whole thing and it had all of part one and some of part two, really just a few little bits. Anyway, I guess it's well-known that part two doesn't have a lot to do with part one. I mean, if you described it, it'd sound like it's pretty cool in that it's very weird and jumps all over the place, but the actual reading experience was not good. I didn't love the first part and I liked the second part even less. Anyway, I had an idea to set up all my music from bandcamp on the tablet. So on the app, I went to all my purchased songs and downloaded them. Well, it downloads them to the device but such that you can only access them through the app (which, as good as bandcamp is for many things, just listening to music on it is decidedly not good at all). But I did some digging around and found the files on the system and was able to move them to a regular folder, but the files were all named with just non-readable strings of letters and numbers and there was no metadata so no way of knowing what any of the songs were. So I just had to do it all over again on my laptop and download the songs there and transfer them to the tablet. It's more cumbersome a process not only for the extra transfer step but all the albums being downloaded as zip files you have to unzip, but I did it. And I spent some time just letting my bandcamp music shuffle. Now today is a certain person I'm married to's birthday! It'll be celebration time when I'm not working!
