Las Tortugas
May. 9th, 2021 10:23 amYesterday I got this cd in the mail: David Area: Common Mode / Rejection Ratio. It came from Spain so took a while to get here (and I had fun easily reading "all" the basic text on the envelope). Mary Beth and I went for another walk in the once-again gorgeous weather (especially beneath the trees). In the afternoon, I went to pick my mom up from her dialysis. On the way back, I stopped at Las Tortugas to bring home a meal for Mary Beth and myself (okay, it was a damn feast). And we went All-Out getting the fancy tortugas with scallops and filet mignon as well as some elote and sharing a flauta. And is the best still washing it all down with sandÃa? But it was extravagant and very good. Now that I've done the filet mignon I probably don't need to do it again as such a tender and subtle cut probably does best on its own and some of its specialness gets lost in the sandwich context. Later at night I watched Night Dreams, which is a porn from the early 80s that went the route of underground 80s art movie and surrealism (the premise being a series of dreams). Along with a soundtrack covering Wall of Voodoo to Satie (and some random bleep-bloops along the way). Okay now it's a new day.
