I finished reading Individual and Metamorphosis by Gert Jonke (The Review of Contemporary Fiction: Summer 2012 | Vol. XXXII). It was okay. A single essay or speech, a little long winded, the best parts were quotes from other works. There was also a production change I was involved with last night. It was early-ish and didn't last terribly long, actually went relatively smoothly. I actually managed to get all of the tape that I'd spliced back into the cassette. I almost gave up 'cuz I was stupid and trying to spool it back up without any guidance and it was Mary Beth who suggested I wind it back up after putting it back in the cassette casing. Duh! Well it worked and I got it all spliced together and wound up. Unfortunately, it's not in a condition that cassette players like. It takes a little more force to turn than the machines are willing to give it. It's either wound too tightly or unevenly such that it's pushing against the sides of the case. Whatever it is, I can't get it to play (well, sometimes it'll play for like a second). I also ended up breaking one of the little plastic wheels inside the cassette. I may see about transplanting the tape into a sturdier cassette. We'll see. Work was kinda boring today. I left a little early since I worked last night. That's about it for now.
