Forties

After our usual round of running errands, I tried to see what's up with my car. Cleaned the battery contacts, didn't expect that to work and it didn't, but it's an easy and quick check. Then I took the battery up to the store where I bought it (which wasn't that long ago, a month or two or so). But they tested it and there's no problem with the battery. So it's probably the alternator or something. I'll probably need to take it in somewhere soonish. Eventually I went out to go over to Brad's for his 40th birthday thingie. (Stopped by to take care of Jo Jo first.) Hadn't seen much of Brad in a long time so it was nice to see him. Some hanging out. Jacques was there. Sherry introduced me to Charlotte who had no idea who I was (as expected, I've barely seen her and even then it was a long long time ago and she was pretty tiny). It was fine. Mostly standing around on the back deck. After people where sufficiently drunk there was lots of political talk and being angry about Kavanaugh. Anyway, back home after not too late. I got up this morning and went over to take care of Jo Jo for the last time. I don't think I mentioned the ear condoms I put on my finger (to rub medicine in her ear). She's also been doing this thing that's like a cross between Trudy beating up her water bowl and Horace dipping his paw in the water: she'll put her paw in the water and then beat it around (she's been very messy this time, I guess she's agitated from not feeling well). She's been pretty messy in general so I made sure to clean up a bit. Poor Jo Jo, I hope she gets to feeling well soon. One medicine she's taking is dasuquin (which is related to the cosequin that Trudy takes). Anyway that's all. Lots of love to Jo Jo. Oh, also while at Fresh Market yesterday, Marcus (the meat/usually seafood guy who's friendly with us) asked how old I was and when I told him he was freaking out not believing me and thinking I was in my early twenties so I felt a little awkward. Anyway.
