Played a show last night at Growlers. It was pretty good. A few friends turned out. Karl, who did sound one of the days during the festival, put the thing together. Antisoma played first. Wasn't really into his set. He's very energetic. He talked for a while before the show about how much he loves Nine Inch Nails and it shows in the music. He prerecorded all the parts earlier that day and just sang and jumped around at the show. He strives for a live feel in the recordings, doing everything in one take but it still comes across with a karaoke kinda feeling. MPX was next, his set was really good, beat and sample driven. Disco Volante was next and it was maybe the best set of his I've seen so far. I was last and did modular stuff. People who stuck around seemed into it, a couple said it was the best live set I've done. It's hard for me to judge that, but cool. During the show, Underworld was projected on the stage. Never seen it before, but it looks like you'd expect it to look. Pretty high level of camaraderie between the performers, which is cool. Work today was okay. Half day of big room planning and then back to regular work. Not too eventful. I left a little early since we stayed so late yesterday. That's about it for now. Oh, I almost forgot to mention this cd Jacques gave me at the meeting on Monday: Sleepers: The Less an Object. Not familiar with it so we shall see!
