Played a show with Nonconnah last night. Was running behind as I ran into a case of diarrhea right before I was going to pack up to head out! Fun stuff! But I made it. And got set up and all. I had a little patch together of whatever I was doing the day before (and a little something else I'd thrown together after I came home). I was going to improvise with more as it wasn't a whole lot patched, but I left my patch cables at home. But I made due and it was fine. Pretty good show. It was Zachary and me and Ben (who I went to high school with and was in a prominent local band that I wasn't into) and Jeremiah who does kinda pop guitar stuff with loops and a drum triggering pad strapped to his guitar. We were spread out just about all across Canvas. It was a pretty melodic-ish set. A lot of bystanders were ogling my modular. Next was In Sonitus Lux, who were a bit hippiesh but some of their stuff was alright. It was one guy on a hang drum and another guy doing drones on some synths. It was hard new age but there was some good stuff in there. Though the hang drum guy who's an old hippie did spoken word bits between songs (that were kinda bad). All in all a pretty good show. It was fun to play with some new people. I got to sleep a bit late so was pretty tired today. Work was alright. Though there was a deployment and something was overtaxing the database. Though it might be the thing my team deployed. It was something we could switch off so I had it switched off, but it seems like the issues persisted so I guess it was something else! But that held me up a little bit after work. Anyway, I'm home and had some delicious cake made with Mexicoke so all is right in the world.
