Mary Beth and I went to see the Indie Memphis screening of The Foreigner's Home. It's about an exhibition Tony Morrison organized at the Louvre last decade with a bunch of different artists. I talks a lot about immigration and related themes. And towards the end, especially refugees. And that segment towards the end, while it's always been timely, is even more timely given the bullshit that's going on at our borders in the news this week with concentration camps for children. It got me pretty emotional at the end. Other than that, I'm on vacation til next Tuesday. Trying to get things ready for the festival. Taking care of last minute things and things that have fallen apart. I went up to Crosstown a little while ago and Stacy let me have another look at the Listening Room to get an idea to prepare for setup tomorrow afternoon. Oh my good lord it's so close! I should have mentioned that yesterday morning Amy did a feature of Memphis Concrète and the compilation on his wevl show and my little song got played so that was fun hearing my atonal weirdness on the radio.
