My being home early yesterday bore the fruit of passing out and taking a bit of a nap in the afternoon. I guess I was tired though. Finally in the evening I starting putting together a patch for my show tomorrow. And I played around with it for a bit. I still need to work on it a little more tonight. Been super busy and at a loss for time. Today was the Hackathon. I'd wanted to work on our project before today but didn't get the time as work stuff had come up. But we actually got a plan together. My team started out small and grew a bit. Unfortunately we didn't finish our plan. We got very close. Then it came to calling Mission web services and we got stuck on some required things and our stuff was all backend so we didn't have anything visual to show. The judges seemed very unimpressed by our presentation. Oh well. There were two other teams who'd picked the same subject (it was one of the ideas brought up by "leadership" the other week) and none of them made it to finals either so we probably wouldn't've made it to the next phase had we finished and had something better to show off anyway. Been getting dvds in the mail for Memphis Concrète. Yesterday it was Woman in the Moon and today The Day the Earth Stood Still showed up. Mary Beth and I went out for dinner at Pho Binh. It's the last day before they close for vacation for a month. I made up for the last time I got the buffet and people kept eating up all the chicken wings by getting a plate of chicken wings for dinner. Started cat sitting Jo Jo too. She's very good at informing me that she wants to be brushed. And there was so much Horace-like fur to come off! Anyway, fed and got to hang out with a Jo Jo so that was good. After squeezing in my exercise tonight now I need to squeeze in music practice!
