With my early start yesterday I had a nice long swath of evening. With it, I watched Hoop Dreams and that was a really good movie. Today was a kinda weird day. On the way to work I got a flat tire. So I had the fun of changing that. The bolts were on really fucking tight. For a while I thought I might not be able to get 'em off (two of 'em, at least). And when I finally got those two, each one made a loud, horrible cracking sound. At first I was sure I'd broken something, the tire iron, or a piece of the wheel? No, just the sound of too-tight bolts coming undone. One funny thing happened at work. I ended the day with a meeting. Members of my team were in a room and a few business people were on the phone. It was about serv-a. The person who'd called the meeting wasn't there. So we were kinda like well no real point in this meeting and we'll just wrap up. But the people kept talking and talking and going on and on. And my product owner was trying to wrap it up with yeah okay that's something we can't do soon but it can go on the backlog just get what you need down so we can make a ticket, etc. But it kept going. Way longer than the meeting should have been. It was a very long nothing. But then we're finally ending and Matt for some reason pipes up and asks another question about the thing they'd been going on about and started it up again. We got on him humorously about that. This is the kind of thing that's very funny in person and probably really stupid and confusing and as pointless as that meeting to read typed out. I apologize for that. I left a little to get my car's tire replaced. It was good I went when I did 'cuz it took forever and I was there almost four hours and even a little past their closing time waiting for it. At least I got a bit of reading done. I came home to a loving wife and some nachos and a couple things in the mail. I got another big ass cd tower. I also got a few cds: Giacinto Scelsi: The Piano Works 1, Luc Ferrari: Chansons pour le Corps; Et Si Tout Entière Maintenant, and Morton Subotnick: The Electronic Works I.
