Helped Mary Beth do some cleaning yesterday. Tossed away my minifridge that had faithfully served me for over 21 years. It's weird to think about it having been so long. I started to take off the word magnets to keep hold of. Especially the Low magnets (yeah, word magnets based on Low lyrics I got at a show around Things We Lost in the Fire). Well, I first was gonna take all the magnets off but they're about glued on there at this point. I got a few off but knew it'd be insane to go for the rest. So I just grabbed a few choice ones. I came home to the power in part of the house out. I'd tried to flip the circuit breaker at first but it wouldn't flip back on. After I took the fridge out it did so I thought it was related (though it's gone off and on a couple times since then). What else? A little later I went over to Jacques's to wrap up getting the soundtrack album ready. Much frustration getting the images to work right. Finally got some shit together through some website. Then we had trouble with the damn website (they were nice and response and helpful in the morning, though). But I was up way late so a little tired. Did a little holiday exchanging and I received African Head Charge: Environmental Holes & Drastic Tracks 1981 - 1986. Okay so then I'm at work and all that today. At a point during the day I had to redo all the artwork and resubmit (I mean, after having already done it the redoing was pretty quick, but still, jeez). As for work stuff, a little frustrating at the end of the day. Finally got everyone in the room to do some end-to-end testing for the pilot. Well towards the end of all this the suggestion comes up to make a change to the Preferences api. And I know as well as anyone how frustrating it's turned out to be and the downside of how open it was designed. The change to the api itself would be pretty small, however the ripple effects are a little exhausting to think about and the subsequent retesting involved. Anyway, whatever, it's the weekend.
