Had a little movie night with Mary Beth again last night. We watched A Quiet Passion, the Terrence Davies movie about Emily Dickinson and it was really good. Definitely need to end up seeing all of his films as I'd only seen The Long Day Closes before that and it's one of my all-time favorite movies. Then we watched Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956). It wasn't quite what I'd hoped. I mean, it has a good premise but the execution isn't as much there as I'd hoped from clips I've seen. I mean, in a few places it hints at the terror of mundanity/conformity, but it wasn't nearly as pronounced as I'd hoped for. I stayed up for a jboss deployment last night. It went pretty smoothly so it didn't take super long but I was still in bed relatively late. Then there was work today. Amogh wanted to go to lunch so I went to lunch with him and John to Fino's. For some reason he wanted to pay for everyone's lunch but I'd already bought mine. Not sure why, anyway. I've got another darn deployment tonight. This one's even later and longer. Hopefully I'll be able to nap for some hours after dinner.
