Up Up Down Down
Jun. 13th, 2026 12:10 pmBeen on a bunch of figurative rollercoasters of late. I'd mentioned the apartment and landlord stuff. Well, finally did talk to our landlord and I guess he convinced us that it will be a while and we'll be staying here longer instead of rushing to move out more soon. The upside is that it gives us more time to get rid of stuff. And yeah, just starting into it, it's such a task. I went through the "low-hanging" fruit of my books to get rid of: the nonfiction section which largely consists of old textbooks. I mean, part of that is these are huge heavy books. So many heavy boxes and getting them sorted and boxed up itself takes a good bit of time. Also there's the rollercoaster of this show I'm playing in a week in Rockford with Paul (and Amanda and Damon). But yeah, a few days ago it looked like the venue had cancelled it and Paul was looking for another venue but then after a day or so he got back that it was still on, there were complications with a double-booked or semi-double-booked show but he worked them out and it's back on. So that's cool! I feel like there's probably more stuff, things are a blur though.
