Had a pretty great new year's day yesterday. Mostly just hanging out around the house with Mary Beth. I did a bit of movie watching. I watched Lady Snowblood and then El Topo later (so lots of bright red, technicolorish fake blood). They were both good. Lady Snowblood's pretty straightforward, but a visually rich experience. El Topo doesn't have the crazy awesome visuals that The Holy Mountain does, but it might feel slightly more cohesive (and I don't meant that in a narrative sense, they're both pretty close though). We also played some more Patchwork. What else? Anything else for now? I don't guess so. Just enjoying this swath of time off.
