Mary Beth and I went out to see Cities Aviv last night, at the Brooks of all places. We got there pretty early. There was a dj set in the lobby for an hour so we wandered the museum. Not sure if I mentioned the new layout before. It's much more open and feels more like a museum, but with all the open space it feels like there's a lot less art. And I think there is. It's obviously a restriction if a bunch of walls are removed. Also, I liked the layout how it felt like wandering through a weird house with a weird layout in places. Also got to see a few exhibits. There was this one by this Memphis painter Veda Reed of landscapes and the paintings were pretty incredible. It's called "Day into Night" and lots of representations of sky. Really good color and gradations. Anyway, the show was in the auditorium and Cities Aviv was really good. There were projections and stuff.
Okay, so I got in in the morning and finished up my stuff and we got that code knocked out. Also dipped into the "new" payment hub territory. And best of all, there was free Ben & Jerry's in the parking lot in the afternoon. Sweet. I left early, to make up the time spent on that production phone call the other night. And I spent that free time picking up Horace's medicine from the vet. I guess I'm still in that free time now, so yeah. Doin' it up.
