Mary Beth and I got caught up on BoJack Horseman and finished the third season. So that was some good stuff. Today was the last day of big room planning. Not really a whole lot changed for my team. But there was a lot of back and forth in other parts of the room so it took way longer than usual (we usually get out early the second day, but did not today). I wasn't really doing much of anything, mostly just trying to get the damn Memphis Forward site to work. So yeah, that's about it for now.

"Blood of Destruction"
Aug. 3rd, 2016 08:06 pmI'm out on the prowl, in the dark of the night
If you don't wanna die, stay outta my sight
I'm after your blood, I'm lookin' to fight
On the eve of destruction, gonna do it tonight
[chorus]
I'm gonna tear up the floor
Gonna tear down the ceiling
Gonna tear out the walls
Gonna collapse the building
I'm slippin' around on the blood on the floor
There's blood on the walls, I can't stand it no more
Can't find my way out, I can't find the door
There's a high-pitch sound that's starting to roar
I'm slippin' around on the blood on the floor
There's blood on the walls, I can't stand it no more
I'm after your blood, I'm lookin' to fight
I'm the blood of destruction, gonna do it tonight
[Text in bold is what I have to take responsibility for. I had written that stuff first, and Jacques/Paul helped to come up with other verse (I wrote the verse knowing it was a second verse). For the chorus, I had initially written all the lines with "collapse" and Jacques and Paul changed all but the last to have the "tear...". On the last line, I had come up with the title and Paul had suggested letting the last line have a titular reference and replace the "eve" with "blood" in the lyric as well. So with that in mind, I had the idea of also replacing "On" with "I'm." All in all, pretty stupid. My initial intent was to have something that bordered on dumb classic rock lyrics but also bordered on good lyrics that I might write anyway (hence, the Throbbing Gristle + Skinny Puppy + Einstürzende Neubauten references. Still dumber than something I'd normally write, but I guess parts of it brush up against it. The verse I didn't write isn't anything like what I'd write, but I guess some of it is almost just like a few songs Jacques has already written so there's that.]
