We were going to go grocery shopping last night but then we were like fuck it and went to see Ghostbusters instead. We got there a bit early and since Ben & Jery's is in the same parking lot, well... Okay, so then we watched the movie. It was okay. My childhood wasn't ruined or anything. We'd wanted to support it whether it was good or not, just to fuel the spite of the mra'ers. There were a few really funny jokes. I did appreciate how it was calling back to the original in some ways while making sure to inject differences at the same time. The cameos were mostly awkward and forced, but that's in their nature. The cgi ghosts were a little to detailed and the big battle and the end was a bit cheesy. Everyone talks about how much they love Kate McKinnon but I wasn't that crazy about her wackiness. Anyway, glad they did it though I know what they're going for isn't my sort of thing from the get-go, but it was overall pretty enjoyable to watch. After doing the grocery shopping for real this morning, we went to Garibaldi's in Germantown for Courtney's surprise birthday party. That was fun seeing friends hadn't seen too much lately and catching up and eating one of their italian subs.
