ateolf: (i ♥ George)
Last night Mary Beth and I went to this exquisite corpse thing up at Marshall Arts. They apparently do it once a month or so. There were some other games, but folded-up paper exquisite corpse was the main draw. The first was a bunch of dinosaur coloring book pages and the contest was who could make it the funniest. I didn't win, but the winner had a similar theme as mine: poop (her was spraying poop, mine just had a pile of poop on the ground (but the hook was he was all dressed up fancy-like in a top hat and monocle) but I probably held back too much in fear of being too immature, which turned out to be a mistake as there were lots of penises and such throughout the night). Next was the exquisite corpse and I thought my table's was pretty good: walking penguin head standing atop the alphabet hovering over the sky. Last was a pictionary kinda thing. I actually guessed one "hamburger helper" so I had to come up for the last round and he gave me a really damn hard one: the phrase "tell your mother I said hi." The "winner" ended up just being someone who said something funny, something about a woman having parkinsons, maybe he said mother, because to convey "hi" I drew what I tried to make as a hand waving. Today was the delegate thing! It really didn't take long. The biggest hold-up was someone came up to have a motion to change the rules (from a plurality vote to majority vote with a runoff). So everyone had to vote for that by standing up and being counted, but those against it (including myself) way outnumbered the supporters (such as they clearly didn't even need to be counted). Then it was onto the actual vote! We only had one female delegate to vote for. They started by taking nominations. So Sara nominated Emma right away and then at the last second someone nominated Nancy (the other woman I mentioned who was gonna run), but Nancy immediately withdrew her nomination (I think she could tell the support was on Emma's side and wanted to show solidarity). So then it was over! Easy-peasy. Our side was done with the nomination part in less than three minutes and we could go. Clinton had a lot more delegates so that was going to take some time and I heard it was pretty competitive over there. Anyway, what else? Cohen gave a speech before it all. Mostly about Cuba and going there with Obama tomorrow. Oh yeah, and yesterday I got the email about my six month evaluation so there was a bit of phone tag and then I forgot to call back again getting caught up coding and then a meeting. Whoops! Feel kinda dumb about that, but I'm sure I'll get in touch on Monday.
