The Family Ghost practiced yesterday. It was pretty good. Getting ready for our next show in a few weeks (October 21st). As I may not be able to help load and bring gear to the show, the plan was to be as light electronically as possible. Though we could do a show with only the Prophet. So we planned on a few songs with no synths or that synth. Well, I'd also had some extra ideas. I've been a bit burned out on "A Series of False Starts" and have been wanting to not play it for the foreseeable future. Well, I had an idea of a different arrangement where I play the bass part on the Prophet with the arpeggiator clicking along single-note. We tried it out and it's pretty damn awesome. Also I thought it'd be good to break out "The Provincial" since we haven't played it in forever and it's sounding nice. Paul wanted to "Visitant" and I started to be against it since I won't have the Moog but then I figured I could work out something new for this show also. I kept the Prophet doing its drone throughout the song and played something on guitar that I thought might approximate the synth part in a way. I got some distortion with lfo'ed delay playing these single notes. Sound pretty awesome. Anyway. Getting excited about these new arrangements for this show. That's about it. Mary Beth and I caught up on Peep Show. Yeah.
