Thumbs Out
Aug. 12th, 2015 06:11 pmBeen walking the past few evenings/nights. Jogging hadn't seemed to have the results I was after. I was building some leg muscles, but my fat didn't seem to be disappearing (and walking had always worked well in the past for me). Also, it's not something I look forward to. And with getting ready and stretching and warming up and cooling down, it took close to an hour for close to thirty minutes of jogging. I figured why not walk for an hour instead? Hopefully that'll eventually show some results. Hung out with Paul last night at Huey's. Felt bad that the day he got back from helping Shawna move away was the day we left for a week-long vacation. Yesterday at work I was really busy. Working on some new web service methods that are more performant versions of what's currently being used. I worked good and fast and then today it meant I'd run out of stuff to do! I thought there'd be some testing with it on the front end, but the front end dudes have higher priorities so it's having to wait. Getting in my car after work today, my damn key wouldn't turn in the ignition. It finally did, but I think all the pressing made my thumb swell up really bad. So the whole drive home I'm with this weird fucking thumb. It finally seems to be going down a little bit, but it's still there a little and the skin still feels tight and hard. It doesn't feel as numb and weird and bursty-like as it did before at least. What else? Just being harassed by a cat named Horace. Oh yeah! And Toby gave me a Red Hat shirt today. Sure just some stuff that's been sitting in boxes for months. They were the contractor who did the migration job for the web services I work on (from weblogic to jboss). I've had to fix a good bit of their code where they didn't finish the job. Now I'm wearing their shirt.
