Incredulous

As previously stated, yesterday was Dustin's birthday. He had a party at Incredible Pizza Company. So I ate a lot of bad buffet pizza and played some lame games. This makes it sound like I didn't have a good time. Couldn't be further from the truth. I had a great time and a lot of fun. I will say that arcade games nowadays seem lame as crap. They did have one machine with a bunch of old games on it. That's where I spent most of my arcade allowance. There was also an insane Pac Man air hockey thing with a bajillion little pucks and it's just crap flying all over the place. Not so much game as barrage of random crap. It was still fun. As far as "attractions" went, first we all did go karts. The little girls couldn't drive their own so I had Lila riding with me. It was terribly organized and we had to wait forever before we got on. And watching the "races" let my hopes down a little. They don't really go too fast and if there's any collision or fun sort of thing, the guy stops everyone and gives a warning and all this. Anyway, we finally go and it's okay at first but I think my car started slowing down 'cuz I was hugging turns and just had my foot on the gas and Others were slowly getting farther ahead of me. Also it started making a bumping sound. And really, since you aren't allowed to cut people off then the people start in front are generally going to stay in front and we basically kept the same formation. But it was still pretty fun. Did a sort of mini bowling with these little balls and lanes and stuff. When I figured out how to put the bumpers down, I did. But in the time it took it took away my turn so that was lame. Also there were only six frames. More lameness. There was also miniature golf that Mary Beth did with me. In other news, found out Shawna's moving back to Colorado pretty soon which means she's breaking up with Paul. I guess it's good if she's doing what she needs, but it's pretty sad stuff. Hard to imagine them apart now. I got some cds in the mail yesterday from a sale Aquarius was having: Liturgy: The Ark Work, Johnny Truant: In the Library of Horrific Events, and The Psychic Paramount: Live 2002 the Franco-Italian Tour. Last night we went to this thing at the Five and One Social Club called Bike Smut. A touring thing showing short films merging bicycles and pornography. A couple were pretty good. It was entertaining.

A neglected mention from my previous post. Got my car back Thursday evening. Ugh, it was pretty damn expensive but at least they immediately spotted what was wrong (when the other places didn't even notice that something was wrong) and fixed it. My transmission is still an issue, but it's not that bad. The guy even recommended not fixing it 'cuz it would require an expensive rebuild and my car's old enough to not make it worth it and the transmission shouldn't be an actual problem except for the occassional thump. It was annoying 'cuz I was going to pay most of it with my checking card and put a little bit on my credit card to have a little extra wiggle room til I get paid again. But my credit card was declined. Called the bank and they said it was 'cuz they'd sent a new one (that I never saw) so after so long the old one was cancelled. It was still good for several more years so I'm not sure what the hell that was about. They'll send a new one again, but that did not help me at all in the current situation. So I had to just put it ALL on my checking card. I have enough money, but literally just barely. At least I get paid again in about a week. Blugh.

Plumber is here right now. Been having issues in our shower with leaking and low water pressure. So hopefully that's getting fixed as we speak.
