Excavation
Jan. 8th, 2015 02:37 pmMorning of chores and stuff. Fed the cats new food we got yesterday (half that half regular old food). The big thing so far was taking out my broken car stereo (well, the cd player's broken) and putting in the new (used) one I got (same one, again). So a bit of screwing/unscrewing out in the cold. But the new one is in and is working, yay. Started to get the new bed frame set up. Thought there would be more work but it's really assembled, just needs to be unfolded. Getting it out of the box was a small amount of work. Then I took my old stereo apart to rescue the cds trapped inside. Especially happy to get Third Reich 'n Roll out of there. Took like a decade to track the damn thing down (and I haven't even had it that long)! So I feel much happier having it back in my possession. Also, the Anthology of Dutch Electronic Tape Music and a Conrad Schnitzler album are comforting as prodigal sons (even though not as rare, see I got The Residents cd with bonus tracks, THAT is the rare one, I know it's in print without extras). Okay, I'm blathering. Also called to make sure we can dispose of our old mattress and paid the remainder of the insurance bill and set up automatic payments and other boring blah blah blah. Still some more to do but that's the dry update for now. At least the cd stuff has a little wetness. I find it to be a wet story, anyway.
