Wrapping Up
Dec. 31st, 2014 04:04 pmSo I was up late Saturday night trying to get my programming project finished by Sunday. Up again early/normal Sunday morning, but I couldn't ever get the last part working right. So I had to submit it as is. Yesterday morning a grade showed up on it: 6/10. I still haven't gotten an email from them. I'm hoping I didn't do so badly that they're not going to bother with me anymore. I really fucking hope that. I was getting sick with worry about it yesterday. I mean, if I was any good at programming I would get a regular job and not be trying to go through this trianing class in the first place. That's why I need training. We'll see I guess. I know this is all happening around a bad time with the new year and all. I have no idea how long it WOULD take to get back to me if people are off. Even if they don't, I guess I'll have to harass them at some point (beg?). Ugh.
Monday, I think it was, the cd player in my car broke. That really blows. I'll need to fish it out and do a much better job than last time. Some essential stuff's stuck in there! (Anthology of Dutch Electronic Tape Music and Third Reich and Roll! That Residents album is assential and was hard to track down!) Mary Beth and I did some game playing the past few nights. In three nights we played three new games: Sunday/Tsuro, Monday/Love Letter, Tuesday/Takenoko. They're all pretty damn great so far! Today Jacques came over with Cynthia (his new girlfriend from Canada). She seems really nice and they seem to be having a good time. We did our gifts exchanges and he got me a couple cds: Personal Space: Electronic Soul 1974-1984 and Dubcon: U.F.O. Pon Di Gullyside. Pretty excited about that shit, yo. Horace and Cynthia seemed to get along rather well with each other! Then we went and got Pho Saigon (her first time having Vietnamese). Oh yeah, and Saturday a late stocking stuffer arrived for me: a Naked Lunch (movie poster with the typewriter head) t-shirt! Yeah. I think that's about it for now. Gotta get ready to get ready for the new year. Yeah.
