Tiger Pride

While leaving work Tuesday night, I noticed one of my coworkers that was in my training class was wearing a Whitehaven shirt. I asked her about it and she graduated in 2010 (right before I started teaching, though I had a year at Melrose before I was at Whitehaven anyway). We talked a little bit about some of the teachers she had. So I was all inspired to wear one of my Whitehaven shirts yesterday. Turns out my supervisor is also a WHS alumnus, not on that but he was also a math teacher (for three years, not sure when but probably a long time ago). Then one of the ladies on workflow saw my shirt and asked what I did at Whitehaven and when I told her she said she thought I looked familiar. Her daughter is currently a student (11th grade now, didn't have her myself). The connections are everywhere! What else? Mary Beth and I watched Do the Right Thing yesterday. It was really good. Well, I just worked six damn days in a row so now I have my one goddamned day off. I totally slept the fuck in. So now I'd better get to enjoying the time I do have!
