Monday was my last day of my training schedule at work. And it was the one day we actually got training really covering jobs we'll actually be doing ("processing" which I guess is the job that's sort of like the foundation of everything, getting the checks and correspondence and envelopes sorted and in order and all that). Okay yeah. So later that evening Jacques and Paul came over to "finalize" the album, whatever that means. Yeah, okay, we still agree on the artwork. Well, but then I guess we were ready to put the order in to finally make it happen! Okay, so that's something but we were thwarted! The company we'd looked at (the only one we can find that does replication for a run of 100 with a 10-panel insert, those 10 panels are the key! 5 pages folding out into a weirdly large size that not many places do) now that we went back to them the price was up one hundred dollars. It was already a weirdly expensive way to do it and this price is started to push it a little beyond ridiculous. Well, we decided to look around before jumping into that huge a purchase. Bummer, but we'll see what we might be able to pull off. After that I went to Republic and met up with Josh where we went over some SQL information. It was a lot going into my head, but hopefully if I review it and read over some stuff it can settle into my brain a little better. Yesterday was my first day on my new 3-11:30 schedule. Got put on a new task but it's one I actually kind of like: scanning. Like it says, running the batches through the huge scanning machine. It's really easy, not so tedious (though it does mess up a bunch and can be a little frustrating), and I like big machines. I was on my feet all day so when I came home it didn't take too long before I crashed and then I slept for like 10 hours. But it was pretty good. Now today is my off day. Mary Beth and I ended up having lunch at Bogie's. We were almost back home when Mary Beth decided she wanted to hear the rest of Seventeen Seconds so we started driving around a little more and ended up at Elmwood Cemetery which I'd never been to. It was pretty awesome, historic stuff is pretty cool. Now back home and stuff.
