An active afternoon! Mary Beth and I went to the Dixon to see the Memphis Milano exhibit on the Italian design collective in the 80s. It was a lot of fun furniture, quite a few pieces were really sweet. My favorite from their permanent collection (Mary Cassatt's The Visitor) was back in the back room (along with the other wonderful impressionist pieces). It was pretty enjoyable, all in all. Afterwards, we went to the Highland Super Sub Shop (first time to go to its newer location, no longer on Highland). Hadn't been in years. Still the Sub Shop to the core (although the atmosphere isn't as wonderfully dingy as it was at the old place). But it's a nice rush of nostalgia eating there, even if Mary Beth doesn't like it. Then we went to Jerry's and that was just fantastic, standing in the shade of a tree across the street, next to the car, feeling the breeze and the coolness of the sno-cone. And now, back home! Oh, and I almost forgot the most exciting piece of news! Secured tickts for some shows coming up: Devo in Austin and Swans in both St. Louis and Nashville!
