Happy House

Jacques came over yesterday and we've got the record pretty much done. Did some final compression and got the songs where they should be for the most part, I think. After burning and listening back there were some minor eq changes to make on three songs which I made later. So maybe a couple more listens and we'll see how it all sounds. But it's getting exciting again that it may be fuckin' done. Got a message from Josh that they were going downtown to the Tennessee Brewery thingie, funny 'cuz Mary Beth was just talking about going to it earlier (it is the final weekend). Well, we got there and met 'em but they were just leaving 'cuz it was too crowded (they had the kids with 'em). It was decided to change direction so we went to the Central Barbecue downtown (never been to this newer location). Mary Beth and I walked the few blocks over. It was cute because Lila said she wanted to sit next to me, then later during dinner she said "Robert, I like you." I have a friend! After dinner we went back to their place and played some ping pong and other hanging outs. At the end, past their usual bedtime, Lila started getting cranky and just started crying because she wanted to watch Ghostbusters. I tried to comfort her by saying it was very late and Slimer was sleeping so she should sleep and watch it in the morning.
