Winding Down
Oct. 14th, 2012 10:28 amThe Family Ghost's last practice for a few weeks was a little lackluster yesterday. Paul's sick so he didn't make it. The other three of us went through that new one we worked on last week, working on a new part for it. Then Ryan left early when Paul wasn't showing up. Jacques and I ended up playing around some and working at resurrecting "Moment of Panic" of all things. Possibly changing it up a lot. Anyway. I recorded a little something playing around with the Casio sampler and my crazy Boss delay. Chopped it up and mixed it and maybe that'll be something. Mary Beth and I had dinner at Frida's. It was as I'd expected it'd be: cheesy (literally and figuratively) and kinda lame. The cactus burrito was interesting (but the dominant factor was still the cheese sauce). I guess everyone is flocking there for its look and the fact that it offers up exactly what's expected from texmex. I mean, it's not BAD, but kinda pointless. I was curious about the cactus burrito, but overall it wasn't so exciting and adventurous as that single menu item had me hoping for. We ended the evening with Ticket to Ride and now it's Sunday. Now my awesome fall break is sadly drawing to a close.
