Lameness and Non-Lameness

Took my car to get checked out yesterday. Didn't realize Madison had recently moved. "Maintenance Required" light had been on. Well, the motherfucker was super-expensive. Blah. Well, there was that along with my brakes needing to be replaced. Blah. So it was all really expensive together. Mary Beth spent some time during the day going to a couple thrift stores and gathering the necessary supplies for our joint Halloween costume. I recorded a bass drum track for that song I was working on during the summer. Don't think I'm happy with it though. I will likely rerecord it. Maybe it'll sound better with fresh ears, but probably not. We also finished Three Colors. After I picked up my car I took it by a body shop. Back door won't open from the outside and I think I actually forgot to mention the spoiler just falling off of it driving home down Union. At least it fell to the side of the road. And at least I wasn't on the interstate. It had come half-off some days before this. Hopefully I'll be able to pick it up again today. Last night we busted out Ticket to Ride and ended up playing two games. I won the first and she won the second. Anyhow, it's soon to be gym time again.

Spoiler Alert

Pretty good workout at the gym today. I got this shirt in the mail today (actually I think it showed up yesterday and we didn't check it). It was from one of those websites that print a shirt a day and you can only order it that one day. Well, this fact led me to be a little hasty in my purchasing. It's the final scene of Aliens done up as an 8-bit rpg. It looks awesome. Well, in my hurried thinking, I was getting it mixed up with Alien. I love Alien. Aliens is kinda crummy. Well, it's still a cool shirt. I picked up my car from the body shop. They weren't able to find a door handle to replace mine so they put that on the back burner and will call me when they get their hands on one. They did put my spoiler back on. I highly recommend this place: Gordon's on Beale. They were super-nice and it only ended up costing me $27. They also washed me car for free. Nice. That helped balance out ysterday's less nice car stuff. Anyway, if you're in Memphis and need auto body work go to Gordon's, darnit!
