Sunday was a skip the gym and stay home and take ritalin and plough through and work all day day. It was pretty successful although there's still much left to do. The grading period ended today and grades are due next week and I've been getting a flood of makeup work. I wouldn't be so lenient with homework, but I've tried something new with email and online methods of giving assignments and I know it hasn't been optimal, but I have a much better plan for the next nine weeks. I've had some late days this week after school with kids making stuff up. Of course way more kids than I've seen in the previous weeks. I encourage making up quizzes and tests. I need to find a way to get these rascals to spread it out and not wait til the last minute. On Tuesday I got some cds in the mail: Laurie Spiegel: The Expanding Universe and Laurie Spiegel: Unseen Worlds. Yay! I love her music so much. I also got a shirt in the mail on Wednesay: a Super Mario shirt from Threadless that puts him in the context of Slim Pickens's final scene in Dr. Strangelove. I was supposed to be observed this week, but it didn't happen. I guess next week. It's a short week too (yay fall break! Breaks keep me going). I went to the gym after work today. I hope I don't slip back to going too infrequently. But it still feels good to go and I haven't been slipping TOO bad. I was feel extremely dejected at the start of the week but have felt oddly not so bad for most of it. Even good in a way. We'll see how that holds as I finish grades, hah.
