The ac got fixed yesterday as was expected. Life is so much nicer as a result. Mary Beth and I went by the midtown farmers' market as Lady Bugg had a booth there. Unfortunately, they didn't have any of their pastry stuff, just breads, but their breads are great too so we got some. The Family Ghost practiced yesterday. I had worked out a quiet part to the intro we did for our cdr, expanding it into a song. Then the rest of the band came together and worked it out and it is really turning into something pretty awesome. Jacques had lyrics for the loud part and I had the idea of singing during the quiet part. I started writing lyrics during practiced (and finished 'em shortly afterwards). Doesn't have a title yet, but I'm pretty stoked. I even got down a vocal melody. It came together (when I was practicing by myself) a lot quicker than I would have thought, as neither vocal nor guitar part match up a lot and neither part is super-steady. After all that we went over to Paul and Shawna's and hung out. Jacques, Josh, Jason, and Tara were also there. Jason and Tara had brought over a game called Cards against Humanity, which is an "adult" version of Apples to Apples. It was fun and shit. Was up really late. Kirk just came by and we traded hi-hat stands so I finally got mine back. The little clamp thingie to attach the top cymbal is missing. Hopefully that'll turn up or something.
