Something of a Practice
Mar. 10th, 2012 08:01 pmThis morning I finally set up my Moogerfooger rack mount kits. Now I have all of 'em up in my boxes (not counting my two delays, as their on/off switch is especially suited to being on the floor with the spillover mod). I also started getting all of my electronic stuff somewhat set up. Tested out and hooked some stuff up to my new little mixer. I had bought another stereo adapter for the drum machine, but it's still having this problem where not everything is coming through. It's weird 'cuz when I push the trigger button for the bass drum it plays, but it doesn't sound when any pattern is going. And the toms and bongos only sound some of the notes. I don't really understand what the fuck it is. Anyway, we practiced this afternoon. Jacques and Paul came over but there was no sign or word from Ryan. We worked some stuff out, then when Paul was about to leave we were just dicking around and stumbled onto something really awesome. Then we got a call from Ryan and he had fallen asleep and came over when Paul left. Jacques and I showed him "Like Clockwork" and he started nailing it pretty fast (I thought it'd take longer, it was rough at first of course, but after a few gos we were on the path to nailing it). Oh and I got this cd in the mail today: The Stranglers: Black and White. Now that's about it.
