Let's see. This weekend Josh threw a surprise party for Molly. I think it's the first surprise party I've been to. Just kind've uh, got there early and sat around and then they came home and we were just there and stuff. Surprise. It was fun and there was hanging out and stuff. Friday night was the gym. I skipped the gym yesterday as I was busy working all day. So that's a bummer, but oh well. We tried YoLo Bakes its first day being open on Saturday. So far I with Ladybugg with a passion. I ordered the two things that didn't have ANY chocolate in 'em, so so I thought 'cuz the banana turnover I got did in fact have chocolate in it. I hope this is a fad that passes or it turns out they use chocolate I can eat, but that aside, the impression I gather is that the level of awesomeness is quite below that of Ladybugg. It's too early to be super-judgemental, but we'll see. Thursday I hung out with a new crew. These guys are trying to start these meetups of local electronic musicians. They'd been doing it a few Thursdays and I've been too busy, but made it out last week. The guy I know the other people through wasn't there, just his roommate and one other guy. They literally live down the street less than two blocks away. We mostly listened to some stuff and talked. I mentioned my attempt to start an electronic music club at school and they seemed into it. I mentioned it to Charles one the phone and it turns out he's interning at Ardent and they would most likely be able to offer such a group a tour should the group ever come into existence. That's exciting. My goddamn laptop was supposed to show up today. I hate FedEx. They didn't even bother to follow my instructions and go around to the door where Mary Beth would be able to hear them. I had to call and leave a damn message at the center and these jerks aren't calling me back. I just want the dern laptop back. Anyway, yesterday I downloaded The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition on the 3DS as it's free and stuff. Haven't played it or nothing. I wonder how similar it is to the GameCube one as I never played the GameBoy Advance version (even though I have it as it's a bonus with A Link to the Past, just never had other people to play with). Mary Beth ordered us a new printer and so far it seems totally badass. It's a Brother laser printer and it does two sided and everything. I almost don't have any reason to ever go to the dern lounge to make copies and try my fate with the ever-broken machines there. Right now this machine seems to suit my needs as a teacher very well. In the I-got-this-many-many-weeks-back-and-forgot-to-mention-it category, I got on dvd Muhummad Ali: the Greatest 1964-1974 (we had just watched another of William Klein's movies-- Who Are You, Polly Maggoo?-- and it was great and I saw he'd made this and Muhummad Ali's pretty awesome too so win/win). Today a student of mine asked me to chaperone her at some math competition in the upcoming weeks. I'm excited about the idea of that as well. I'm still not clear on the details though.
