oversteps

Yesterday evening Mary Beth and I met Josh and Molly and Paul and Shawna up at Shanghai. After eating we went over to Sidestreet to hang out. After a while our server started talking to me about Aucthre as I was wearing my Autechre shirt at the time. That was cool, then we talked some about making music and he asked about Soundcloud so I gave him my Soundcloud information. It was random and cool meeting someone and talking about Autechre and shit. After that we went to The Edge. They happened to be having karaoke at the time. I sang some: "Livin' for the City," "Optimistic" (the one Radiohead song they had and quite an awesomely odd choice, though my least good performance as it's just not quite the right tone for karaoke, though I couldn't resist its siren call), "Tom Sawyer" (my grandest performance of the night), and "The Unforgettable Fire." They had a good, huge selection and it was fun. It was a little weird at first 'cuz there were all these kids (I think the crowd was something of an NA group).
