our air conditioner isn't working...we got a new filter and turned it on for the first time this year yesterday...after a while. no cold...the unit outside isn't even turning on or doing anything...called the landlord today...hopefully it'll get fixed...it is hot...Mary Beth had the idea to try the ice/fan trick last night...that worked pretty nicely while sitting in front of the fan...delivered cold sandwhiches and iced tea were nice too...today, lounging around, i finished reading Lolita: a Screenplay by Vladimir Nabokov...
