diagnosis: capitalism!

got up early and went to the doctor and all that...he said he thinks it's just my eyes and recommended and optometrist etc...but he kind of rushed through it and i meant to ask about diabetes but he went to get something and gave indication that he'd be back shortly but he sent the nurse back and that was it...and he rushed through it that real friendly manner that didn't make it seem like he was in a hurry, so i didn't have the feeling that i'd better hurry and ask 'cuz this doctor will disappaer any minute...later i tried to call...of course "they're in the room they'll have to call you back" i'm at work so i can't get calls i ask the receptionist or whatever to give them my message and then get their reply as a message for me when i call back on my next break...of course this doesn't happen....i keep calling back etc...i guess i need to wake up early tomorrow to ask then...pretty lame...at work i did finish reading The Jungle by Upton Sinclair (though while reading it i discovered that when mass published for the first time it was subject to some censorship and in the 80's they found the original version and mine's a much older copy that fell apart while i was reading it so i read the expurgated version...ah well...) i came home to a bunch of stuff in the mail though!: Curb Your Enthusiasm: the Complete Sixth Season, An Anthology of Noise & Electronic Music / Fifth A-Chronology Volume #5, and TGV - the Video Archive of Throbbing Gristle (7 fuckin' dvds of Throbbing Gristle!!!) so there's that...anyhoo...
