Mary Beth and i went to the library bookstore yestery, but we got there five minutes to close so i hurriedly looked around but didn't get nothin'...then we went to Burke's, hadn't been since they moved, and the one time i've been in the past several years didn't leave me with that great of an impression, but this time they had quite a selection...i got: The Orchard Keeper by Cormac McCarthy, The Sot-Weed Factor by John Barth, City of Boys by Beth Nugent, Blindness by José Saramago, The Fall by Albert Camus, Immortality by Milan Kundera, Obscene Gestures for Women by Janet Kauffman, Snooty Baronet by Wyndham Lewis, Bad News from the Heart by Douglas Glover, Further Cuttings from Cruiskeen Lawn by Flann O'Brien, Recollections of the Golden Triangle by Alain Robbe-Grillet, Murphy by Samuel Beckett, Watching TV with the Red Chinese by Luke Whisnant, and The Safety of Objects by A. M. Homes...all used...a few i'd never heard of but looked interesting so were worth the few dollars...and The Fall is a book i read years ago, borrowed from Jacques, so now i'm happy to have my own copy and only for a dollar! (and the same edition as the one i read before, how nostalgic...)

then later we met up at Jacques and Amber's and so did Jason and we went and got snocones from Jerry's...i'd never been before...sweet snocones, i don't think i ever would have thought of snocones as something particularly good before...but these take a dump all over the standard snocone (which isn't that hard, i admit...) i also got nachos, which was probably a very bad idea as i got the bad stomachache later in the evening...we went to see Shortwave Dahlia at the Buccaneer and my stomach started cramping...luckily Mary Beth had some pepto tablets in her purse and i eventually got better...
