excess

the night before last i discovered this librarything.com and i've been a big nerd cataloging my books there...speaking of books, i finally finished reading Against the Day by Thomas Pynchon last night (i didn't read much at all those weeks i was on vacation so there was a bit of a setback and all...) and they actually offered overtime last night and i was actually able to take it! thanks to Mary Beth for coming over and telling me...though i actually had to go by the table thrice 'cuz it wasn't out when i kept going by...so i signed up for 5 hours and just worked straight from the end of my shift til midnight...and it wasn't even bad or nothin'...though on another note, don't ya just hate it when certain people at your workplace are complete and total twats? uh, anyway...

today i did a little thrift storing with Dustin...all these years i've been going to the DAV and i didn't even realize there's another thrift store next door IN THE SAME BUILDING! what the hell!? Mid-South Outlet, i guess since it doesn't have "thrift" in its name i thought it was something else or something...so i went there for the first time ever today...didn't get anything, but at another thrift store that i did already know about i got Independence Day by Richard Ford...hrm...and that's about it...
