losing the fight against mediocrity

friday night was the usual hanging out at Jacques and Amber's...more crosswording...Mary Beth came over and provided some assistance...eventually the one we'd been working on was finished and we moved to number two in the book...it's less insane than the first one so that's nice...yesterday i went and got my oil changed...while waiting on that i finished reading The Secret Sharer by Joseph Conrad...then i went and hung out with Jacques and David...here's the big news...we went up to Murphy's and set a date for a cd release show!!!: saturday march 4th!!! David will be doing some djing to boot! this is very exciting...especially since the show implies u know having a cd...anyway later on Amber and Monika showed back up...Paul and Katie came over long enough to go out and get some vietnamese...then i went up to black lodge and rented The Fontainhead...we watched it and it was SO atrocious! of course the story was just like Atlas Shrugged only a little less epic in scope...but all the diaglogue was pretty much just the same...at least the book didn't rely completely on dialogue as the movie did...it almost hurts how ridiculous the movie is...anyway, now that sates my curiosity regarding anything related to Ayn Rand forver! (i'll let it be known that she did in fact write the script for that movie...) so everyone was tortured sitting through that movie and afterwards David and Monika went home and then Mary Beth and Justin showed up...more crosswording, but we didn't do a whole lot 'cuz Amber's laptop started being broken last night...so now it's sunday...

moved some junk around today...my dvd shelves went out into the hall, the mixing console went into my room...it's still not fully set up but a plan's starting to take shape...Jacques and Amber came over...Jacques and i put together a flyer for our cd release party...just got back from kinko's...i say flyer, but it's more like a poster...we went all out for this special event...11x17 in color...they look pretty nice...we'll probably distribute 'em next weekend...actual advance notice on the show...hopefully they'll attract at least someone...
