tight

not a whole lot happening...wrapped the presents i have today...hung out with Justin H. for a short bit...i continued working on the theremin...put that last diode on the board then i cut and soldered all the connecting wires and coax cables (THOSE are fun...thankfully there are only two...to connect the two antennae...) then i was going to start attaching it to the control panel and i was screwing on the 1/4" phone jacks and overtightened them and messed most of 'em up...pretty dumb...oh well...i guess now "technically" my vacation is over...now i'm back on the weekend...but i won't think of it that way...really i can't even comprehend work right now...so i won't bother trying...

then i went out on the chance that some places would be open on this eve of tomorrow, not really expecting them to be...but i first went to home depot and they were open so i got some wood stainer/sealer for my theremin's case and a brush to brush it in...then radio shack and they were open too so i got the jacks to replace the ones i broke last night...so hopefully i can finish my theremin real quick-like!!! i'm currently staining the wood...exciting, no?

worked on the theremin...did everything up to the point of having to assemble the case...i have the wood stained, but i guess i should wait til i can get my hands on some polyurethane to finish it...so i have most of them wires hanging off of the board soldered to the pots and jacks on the panel...and then some more crap soldered here and there...it's a big mess of wires and junk...i almost ran into a problem of running out of bare wire...i had wasted a little when i first started then only needing one 3 1/4" for one last wire and i was out...so i skipped that step and after a while i found a bit that had fallen on the floor that was just long enough...hooray...so now all i have left is to assemble the case and stick all my junk in that and i guess solder a few loose bits like ground and the plug and stuff that goes to the case...yeah, i know this isn't boring to read at all...but that's all i have to talk about...i also made a mix tape to drum along to...for practicing and stuff...i probably can't play half the stuff on it...uh...that's all...
