more shows, more stuff...

well crap...i actually have some crap to post about...thursday night Dustin called and i met him and Nathan up at huey's...then a bunch of starbucks people joined us...including Yo-La-Tengo-shirt-commenting-on-girl (of whom i'm referred to as Yo La Tengo boy or something like that...) so i guess we sort of had dinner even though neither of us ate and we didn't really talk much...yeah! and Dustin announced he had seen rat shit in the shower so after that the whole night i was all nervous and paranoid about rats...then later back at the apartment Dustin told me to give that story i wrote ("Story") to Shefalika (i'm probably spelling her name completely wrong...oh, and so there's no confusion, this is Dustin's friend, not the same girl mentioned earlier...) and she actually seemed impressed by it to my surprise...okay and we sat around in Dustin's room til super late so i went to bed late and then i just woke up somewhat early after not-too-much sleep...stupid body being on a stupid schedule...

so yesterday the plumber finally came out and did some crap in the basement as well as fixing some minor plumbing issues in the bathroom that have been going on for like over a year and crap...i made a mixtape just for myself, so i can have some pure totally rockin' shit while i'm doing yardwork...i'll prob'ly post it later...it's totally ballz to the wall rockin'! then later on i went to hang out with Jacques and Amber...we ate at the bubble tea place out in cordova...and as Josh and Molly were having this mexican food themed get together and everybody was supposed to bring something i had gotten it in my mind to go all-out and decide i'd make mole sauce...so we went grocery shopping and i bought the whole fucking ton of shit the recipe required...oh fuck, yeah and earlier i called Murphy's and confirmed not just one more but TWO MORE SHOWS in july!!!
14th with Social Junk from west virginia who messaged me on myspace so i got them a show for their tour...they're pretty good too...
21st with uh, we'll find someone...but it's my birthday so it's the second year in a row we'll be playing my birthday...how about that?
i think what it was is the guy who was in charge of the booking and all that just stopped working there and there was some girl just put in charge to take over and she seemed pretty apathetic to the whole thing so i just got us a bunch of shows! hoorah! it was also another night i got to sleep real late and woke up relatively early...so i've been tired as fuck today...

The Family Ghost "practiced" today...of course we couldn't even get in touch with Brad so it was without him...nice...afterwards we distributed those sweet flyers i made to a few places...(the record stores and murphy's...) at Lastchance i also picked up Stevie Wonder: Fulfillingness' First Finale used...then after that i went to cookin'...i mean, i knew it was gonna be complicated (well, a bit...as complicated as a recipe labeled "easy" can possibly get...) there was a bunch of stuff to do but i guess i did it all...mole sauce is a bit messy...but it seemed to turn out alright...the thing said it was "6 servings" so at first i was worried there wouldn't be enough...but jesus christ it was a fucking ton of the stuff...i don't see how they could say 6 servings...i almost didn't think i'd have a container big enough to bring it over...but i did...of course there was so much there was still a ton left over...but that's good...i guess i can share some with my parents tomorrow or something...ooh, and i got a souvenir from Josh and Molly from their honeymoon in Prague: a Franz Kafka t-shirt! it just says Franz Kafka then there's a drawing picture thing with a sihouette and some buildings i guess those of Prague and then at the bottom it says Prague...so i guess i can look smart and stuff! wait, that's what i call "dressing smart"! hahahahaha...anyway Kafka's one of my favoritest things ever so that's super-cool...there was some eating and some poker played...i guess i should go to bed soon...egadses...
