it's looking like i may become elevated to the status of cat owner in the very near future...i guess not something i was hoping to inflict upon myself, but a wacky happening of chance or something...the other night Tim said he found a home for the kitten (a.k.a. Bernie, the most recent addition to his cat family...when did he get her? over a month ago...maybe two, i can't remember...) anyway i recoiled in shock...he said he can't take care of 3 cats, but then it sucks 'cuz i've already fallen in love with Bernie...and i'm already living with her, i decided i'm probably going to intervene and keep her for myself...part of me feels like having a pet would betray the L's, but a cat's different than a dog so i guess it's not quite the same...and as i already said, i already fell in love with the damned cat so letting her go would suck and stuff...yeah...aside from THAT not much going on...yesterday i got some mail that was awesome:
Eric Dolphy: Out to Lunch!
Amanda and Jason came over and we hung out...i was going back and forth on the whole issue of taking on the responsibility of little animal's life and all that...and i guess it's apparent where my decision has started to settle...uh...anyway, last night we just sat around...didn't do much...chilled and shit...it was good times though...i got to sleep a little bit late (something i've done all week, though mostly just a half hour late, last night was about a full hour...) so yeah then i worked today and just got home and had more mail!:
The Velvet Underground: Peel Slowly and See box set
Doctor Mix and the Remix: Wall of Noise
of course i've had all The Velvet Underground's albums and then some for years...but i didn't have the box set itself...partly due to, years ago, i had an adversion to box sets...as well as the economic reasons of taking my time getting the individual discs...but of course there's some stuff on the box set that's not available elsewhere (even excluding the first disc, which i found used seperate from the box set a couple years ago...and of course, isn't that great anway...) well, uh, yeah...it's nice to have it finally and be runited with the legions of the completist-core...uh, i guess that's all...
