"Courtship"

some lyrics i wrote some days ago...i guess as i came up with them they went along to the tune of a sappy, saccharine pop song kind of thing...so i guess it's somewhat satircal of that, in a kind of bitter and angry sort of way...uh, you know, like pretty much of all Steve Albini's lyrics...at least in spirit...i guess it's sort of mock-sleaze...twisting the innuendo to its obvious, blunt extreme...or at least that's what i thought when i wrote it or whatever...i hope it's good and doesn't suck and all that...yeah...also i'll add that a good bit of the influence also came from reading the Throbbing Gristle book (following in the tradition of "Persuasion," "Convincing People" etc...) that's probably at least the springboard of the idea...and i'll be damned if that isn't as great a place to start as any! anyway, i'll shut up again...

uh...

hrm...not much happened today...work's nice and easy guruing...though i don't really get to read much...though i do get bored and more anxious to go home more quickly...but still...i mostly just sit there so it's swell...now i'm home...god, i guess it's kind of pathetic that that's all i have to talk about but i guess it is...well, i imagine i'll have a fun night playing Zelda...woohoo!!!
